CLIMATE

perfect tropical climate with an
average
year-round temperature of 84
degrees during the summer and 75
degrees during the winter. The
ocean temperature ranges from 75
to 85
degrees.
CREDIT
CARDS
Major credit cards are accepted
throughout the island. Coral
Stone Club
accepts MasterCard, VISA and
American Express.
CURRENCY EXCHANGE
The U.S. dollar is widely
accepted in the Cayman Islands.
If US currency
is used for payment, change will
likely be given in CI. Our
currency is
similar to the U.S. and consists
of 1 cent, 5 cent, 10 cent, and
25 cent
coins. Paper currency is in the
form of $1 (blue), $5 (green),
25$
(brown), $50 (blue), and $100
(orange) bills. In general, a
U.S. $ = CI.80
and a CI $ = $1.20 U.S., but
please call the front desk for
the latest
exchange rate. If you want a
better exchange rate, take money
in the
form of travelers checks to the
local bank and they will pay a
better rate.
CUSTOMS
Customs Department: 949-2473
Call for general information and
questions regarding purchases
and gifts
to be brought into or taken out
of the country.
ELECTRICITY
The Cayman Islands electricity
is the same as the U.S., which
is 110
volts, 60 cycles. Visitors from
countries other than U.S. may
need to use
adapters. Electricity is
generated by diesel generators
which is a costly
method compared with many
communities. Please help us
conserve
energy whenever possible.
GARBAGE
Trash is collected during daily
maid service. Additional garbage
may be
disposed of in one of two
receptacles, one located in the
front entrance in
the gated area and the other to
the south end of the property.
Please
place garbage inside the bins.
If an area is full, please
dispose of it in the
alternate location.
GRATUITIES
Rental guests pay a 6% gratuity
tax on the Gross Rental Rate,
which is
included in your room charges
paid prior to your arrival. If
you are
particularly pleased with a
service or housekeeper, and
would like to
reward them, it is acceptable to
do so upon departure either
personally
or through the front office.
HOUSEKEEPING SERVICE
While staying at Coral Stone
Club, you will receive daily
housekeeping
service except for Sunday and
major holidays. See “More about
Grand
Cayman” for a list of holidays.
Housekeeping is between 8:00am
and
3:00pm, and up to 4pm during
high season (December to March,
dates
vary annually). A specific time
for service may be requested,
however it
is not guaranteed. Every day you
will receive fresh towels along
with
general cleaning and trash
removal. Every other day the
sheets will be
changed. If you require more
towels, please call the office
by dialing O.
Each unit has been supplied with
beach/pool towels, which are
blue,
and should be used as they
identify you as our guest.
IMMIGRATION
Immigration Office: 949-8344
For questions and information
regarding documentation
required, and
for any extensions of your stay,
you MUST contact the Immigration
Office
so you may have your
documentation changed to remain
in the country
legally.
LOST
and FOUND
Please check with the front
office for any missing or
misplaced items.
The Coral Stone Club cannot
assume responsibility for any
missing items
left behind. Found items will be
held for 30 days. After the time
period,
if we are not notified, items
will be given to charity.
Mailing items can be
expensive, however we will mail
them if you are willing to
pre-pay the
mailing charges.
NOISE
Please respect the comfort of
others even when using your own
condo.
Consider the fact that loud
noise and music carry more than
normal in
open beachfront condos. Loud
music and partying should be
kept to a
minimum. Please keep music
suitable for listening in your
own unit and
balcony, and consider those at
the pool. No noise should be
obvious
outside the unit after 9pm.
PETS
Pets are not allowed at the
Coral Stone Club.
