Join the Pirates Voluntourism Beach Clean Up

 In Uncategorized

Pirates Week is just a month away and preparations are in full swing! This year in keeping with the theme of “Celebrating the Seas,” visitors of Grand Cayman are invited to participate in a beach clean up event.

Plastic pollution is an international problem resulting in waste washing ashore. In the past year Plastic Free Cayman has removed 6.5 tons of plastic and trash from Cayman’s beaches. On Monday, November 12th visitors are invited to give back to Cayman by spending time on the beach, just in a different way!

The beach clean up will take place from 9-10am at Barkers Beach. Free transportation, breakfast, and a “Pirates Against Plastic” t-shirt will be provided! Not only will it be a fun event, but it helps preserve our beaches so that they can be enjoyed by both guests and locals. Interested in getting involved with this voluntourism opportunity?
