PREMIER ANNOUNCES PHASED BORDER REOPENING PLAN
October 14 target for quarantine removal for vaccinated travelers
July 8, 2021
Premier Wayne Panton has unveiled a reopening plan for Cayman’s borders that could see a limited return of tourism by September and a full easing of restrictions for vaccinated travelers and their children by mid-November.
The plan is segmented in five stages (please see table below), with the fourth stage having the most impact on travelers. In phase four, travelers will be welcomed back to the Cayman Islands without heavy restrictions on October 14. Vaccinated travelers will need to declare their vaccination status, however, will not be required to quarantine if they are verified. Unvaccinated travelers will be required to quarantine for 14 days, and unverified vaccinated travelers will be required to quarantine for 10 days.
